Anybody need a cocktail? High five if you raised your hand like I did.
I’m in the midst of unpacking from this weekend’s conference and re-packing for my best friend’s wedding next weekend (yay!), all while running errands, doing laundry, making meals, and cleaning the apartment, which has been delayed due to our absence. Is it 5 o’clock yet?
With our wonderful national holiday coming up, I’ve been browsing through different 4th of July-themed recipes. I came across this recipe in Rachael Ray’s magazine and my tastebuds were set. So whether you’re like me and in need of a little festive bubbly on this Monday, or if you’re throwing a 4th of July party or barbecue, you’ll want to try this quick and simple beverage that only calls for four ingredients!
What to Do:
- In a medium saucepan, bring blueberries, honey, tarragon, and 1/4 cup water to a boil over medium-high heat. Stir until honey dissolves
- Take the mixture off the heat and muddle the blueberries. Let sit for 20 minutes.
- Strain the mixture and let the syrup cool.
- Spoon 1 tbsp. of the syrup into a glass of your choice. Add ice (I like lots) and then wine. Garnish with blueberries and tarragon leaves if you fancy.
- Sip away!
Think you’ll give this a shot for the Fourth? Or for a Monday? Let me know what you think in the comments below! Happy celebrating!
